1. This one is a shout-out to my brother, All-American, #1 recruit football player, JOSHUA Perry. Notice how I said his name is Joshua, not Josh. All of a sudden, people just go around shortening peoples' names, without their permission. This has been bothering him as of late, but he does sort of have a valid point. I mean, if someone started just calling me Wes without my permission, I would have a problem with it. Granted nowadays that I introduce myself to people as Wes, this doesn't really bother me. But people just call Joshua Josh on a regular basis. Let it be known that he'll make himself clear to you that his name is not Josh if you call him that.
2. This is something that I thought of a few minutes ago. Don't know why, but it just happened. But here it is: STOP USING THE N WORD! This is a message for everyone, but especially African-Americans. Why do we as a people think it's right to use it? It doesn't matter if it's spelled with the -a or the -er ending. It's still very offensive and degrading. The background of that word should be enough for people to stop using it. But yet people still use it freely like it's no big deal. It's portrayed in American culture as being alright to use because rappers use that word so much. It's not ok for ANYONE to use. I just felt like I needed to get this off of my chest.
